Agency Appeal Process for Interpretation of Best Practices
Solution During the Internal Review Process or the Final Review, agencies may not agree with the interpretation of a Best Practice by an evaluator or reviewer. Should this occur, every effort should be made to resolve the issue by open and frank discussion with the evaluator. Should this not resolve the issue the first appeal of the evaluator’s decision is made to the primary Program Coordinator. Should the agency also disagree with the Program Coordinator, the final appeal is to the Recognition Committee. The Chairperson of the Recognition Committee may refer the appeal first to the Best Practices Sub-Committee for review and comment prior to a final decision by the Committee.
